"Metal Heart" a radio program which was produced by Hicri BOZDAG in 1993 was then given the name "ROCK STATION" in 1995. He tries to play everykind of rock during the program and have great potential of audience.

They organized I'st Ankara Station Rock Festival and Rock Oscars on 26'th October 1997, with a great participation from many cities throughout the country. 3000 people attented to festival and press was greatly interested.

In december, 1997 they dealed with C.T.V. and started to prolude and present a T.V. program-Rock Station-since February of 1998. At the same time they write for "KÖPRÜALTI HEAVY METAL MAGAZINE" which's a national weekly magazine with a circulation of 6000.

1998 was a busy year for them. They interviewed with the famous bands that came for the concerts ; filmed them ; showed these on T.V. and interviews published on the paper. Among these groups are there, IRON MAIDEN, SLAYER, MALMSTEEN, STRATOVARIUS, KREATOR, AMORPHIS, SAMAEL, ROTTING CHRIST, THERAPY, NIGHTFALL, APOCALYPTICA, RUMBLE MILITIA, OVERKILL, THE NEVENT, METALLICA, NEW MODEL ARMY, SAXON.

Their program on C.T.V. has orijinal jenerics and produced in a virtual studio which's done completely by them.

On 25th October 1998 they organized the 2th festival and rock oscars by participation of 3000 people. Before that, "March, Rock Station Rock Days" took place. They also organized TEMA (A foundation) concert in which all income was donated for planting of 250 trees.

The web site which was opened in January 99 includes portions from radio and T.V.programs, photo archives, news, different activities and an "On-Line Rock Platform".

The arrangement of "3rd Ankara Rock Station Rock Festival And Rock Oscars" which will be hold on 24th October 1999 are still going on. This year they have prepared abrochure of the Festival and by the help sponsors it will be handled out free.

The two always try to put forward the quality and self-denying in their work and give the best to all rockers.

Music is at the top among things that affect people. Some only listen to the music while some others accept it as life as life style. When topic is "rock", second option is always more prominant. Interestingly enough, rock has faithful audience. Noticing this, we tried to organize a rock festival which is a necessity in Ankara. We were encouraged by the support of the audience and the press during the I.st and II.st festivals. That's why we began to work for the III.rd one.

This festival will last for one day every kind of rock music will be performed as much as possible. Each group will take stage for 45 minutes, performing their own compositions. Also many music companies will have stands that day.

Here the first aim is to provide Ankara, known as city of culture, a new and brand activity in order to fill the gap about this subject. The second aim is the meeting of rock performers and audience with good sound quality and stage organizations ; and having a nice day. Finding out the ones who get rock oscars, whichare entirely determined by the votes of audience is another aim that goes parallel with the previous ones.

This year a brochure of 8 pages is being prepared for the festival. This will be handled freely to everone who requests all country. The brochure includes info about the old festivals as well as the biographies of the groups attending the festival this year. For the ones who aren't residents of Ankara there will be a sketch of the festival area and a so called "what's where" part.

I'st FESTIVAL ; was at Ankara/Saklıkent, on October 26, 1997. It was announced that,

Darkphase, Death Oath, Knıghtmare, Labirent,İstasyon, Pilli Bebek, Witchtrap

would take stage. But Darkphase wasn't on stage without any excuse. Other six groups accomplished excellent stage performence. Particition to festival was great, with almost 3000 people. Also rock oscars were given during the festival.

II'nd FESTIVAL ; was again at Ankara/Saklıkent, on October 25, 1998. It was announced that,

Angel Skull, Death Oath, Diken, Knıght Errant, Tayga, Turgay Ve Frekans, Witchtrap

would take place. This time Angel Skull from Antalya wasn't on stage without any excuse. Again other six groups accomplished excellent stage performance. And all playing groups made appointment about records with the music companies.

HAZY HILL : The Thrash Metal band got together in 1988 in Ankara. They have had three demos till now. They have given concerts in many cities of Türkiye and also in Germany. Their compositions took part in lots of collection throughout the world. Because of their military duties the group vanished. Thereafter two - Ufuk and Mete- opened "Hazy Hıll Music Shop" and then "Studio Sis". Years after, they will come together for this festival and will declane the return of Hazy Hill.

SUICIDE : This Death Metal group from Ankara has a long-losting past. They still go on with Death Metal sound. They now prepare their albüm's master-record in their own place- Stüdio Zoo and look forward to festival day on which they will meet the rockers of Ankara after many years.

PİLLİ BEBEK : Pilli Bebek, with the members Cem Kısmet (vocal-guitar), Ahmet Başbağlar (bass guitar-back vocal), Gürcan Konanç (drums) and Metin (guitar-back vocal) uses Turkish lyrics in their songs and has laught in Turkısh rock.great number of fans in Ankara. The band now prepares their albüm. They perform neverending guitar solos that begin quitely and get aggressive and violent later, while at the drums Cem shows how the rhythm is.

TURGAY VE FREKANS : Turgay ve Frekans which's the 2nd group from Samsun, after Objetif, consists of Turgay at vocols and the band "Frekans". Their 1999 year album "Derin Boşluk" was delivered by Hammer Music and they have video of "İhanet" from this album. The group who also took place in 1998 festival is excited about weeting the rockers of Ankara again.

TAYGA : The members of the band are Bülent (bass-vocals) and Arda (guitars) from Knightmare, Zafer (drums) from Jilet and Burak (guitars) amember of Death Oath in the past. They have Power Metal sound with Turkish lyrics. They have possessed lots of fans by the songs in their demo. They get prepared for the festival with great excitement to get rid of bad luck they had in the 2nd one.

OMINIOUS GRIEF : This Black Metal band has the youngest members in festival. The line up of group which was first set up in 1997 by Cüneyt, Kutsal and Egemen includes Gökşim (vocals), Cüneyt (guitar), Kutsal (guitar ), Çağrı (bass) and Yiğit (drums). Their aim is to succeed in performing good and extraordinary music and to share this with the listeners. The young crew of the band and the interesting name which implies the sorrow that indicates a very bad thing is going to happen are worth of attention. They will take stage for the first time at the festival.
